Course content of this program prepares students for employment as an medical receptionist, admissions clerk, medical transcriptions, insurance and billing clerk, medical secretary, medical administrative specialist.

Description:

Instruction includes the use of technology to develop communication skills using word processing software; filing and classifying information; performing office procedures; transcription of documents from machine dictation; and the production of quality work in an efficient manner using advanced features of business software applications. Students may include in their studies concepts, terminology, and procedures related to the medical and medical insurance fields.

 

Unique Requirements:

Completion time depends on the progress of the individual.  The typical length of this program for the average achieving student is 1050 hours.
